For as long as I can remember, I knew I wanted to work in healthcare. I have always been fascinated with all things anatomy, wellness and biomechanic, so physio quickly became my chosen path. Over a decade later, I couldn’t be happier with my choice.

My first experience working in a physio clinic was when I was a student athletic trainer in university. The clinic was always full of energy and I quickly felt right at home. No two days were ever the same, which meant everyday I had to learn as much as possible about injuries, exercises, treatment techniques, and patient education. I loved getting to work with patients through their rehab journey and watch them return to doing the things they loved to do. To this day, these are still my favourite parts of this job!

Early in my career I was able to take courses to expand my knowledge in manual therapy, exercise prescription, acupuncture, and dry needling. I’ve had the honour to work with some amazing mentors who have not only taught me a lot, but also reminded me that the learning never ends and to always strive to be better.

In 2017 I decided I was ready for a new challenge and I started my journey into pelvic floor physiotherapy. The more I learned, the more excited I became to be able to pass on this knowledge to patients. How had I been working in healthcare for years and not known so much of this information? It unlocked a whole new passion for educating and empowering patients to learn about their body to be able to optimize their wellbeing. It was once I went through two pregnancies and postpartum recoveries that I really gained a whole new appreciation and understanding for just how amazing the body can be, but also how hard it can be to go through so much change! I feel privileged to work with clients as they navigate through pregnancy, postpartum, menopause or any other pelvic health concern. My mission is to be a support in allowing patients to feel their best at whatever stage of life they are in.

When I’m not working, most of my time is spent chasing my little kids around and feeding them endless snacks. I’m trying to practice what I preach and get back into the things that bring me joy like yoga, working out, reading and skiing after having babies. I love trying out a new recipe and have recently hopped on the sourdough bandwagon (with mixed success). I am also an aspiring plant lady on a mission to tend to my growing plant collection after years of neglect.

I feel so lucky to be a part of the Warrior team! Every day I feel grateful to be able to work with and learn from this amazing group. I’m continually inspired by my colleagues and patients and feel very proud of the community we are all building together!
