Pelvic Health Physiotherapy

The specialized treatment of the internal pelvic floor muscles. This begins with a thorough assessment of your back, hips and pelvic floor muscles. The pelvic floor muscles are assessed through a vaginal and/or rectal exam.

This includes supporting women through any phase of life; in pregnancy to keep moving and prepare for delivery, in postpartum to support healing and return to activity and menopause to support bladder/bowel and muscular function.

 

orthopaedic & sport physiotherapy

The treatment of the musculoskeletal system, addressing dysfunction in; bones, ligaments, muscles, joints, nerves and tendons. This begins with a thorough assessment to discover the cause of your pain or dysfunction.

Treatment is individualized to help you meet your goals but may include; manual therapy, joint mobilizations/manipulations, soft tissue techniques, exercise prescription, dry needling, modalities and education.

 

Postpartum STrengthening: Mom & Baby

Weekly in person strengthening classes that you can attend with your baby!

Each class focuses on pelvic floor, core, gluteal and full body strengthening and are scaled to your current needs (min 6 week commitment).

Option to have classes billed through extended health benefits (requires a physiotherapy assessment).

lifting for two - pregnancy program

A 6 week series of small group classes that combine pelvic floor education and a great workout!

Each class includes take home educational materials and a home work-out you can continue on your own.Taught by a pelvic health physiotherapist and kinesiologist

7 people per class - at our Currie Barracks Location

 

postpartum strengthening: busy moms

Weekly in person strengthening classes - baby free! Each class focuses on pelvic floor, core, gluteal and full body strengthening and are scaled to your current needs (min 6 week commitment).
